  My time in lower labor have not been allowed to be a loss
  I've delved the diverse dictions of Dante, Dickens and Dumas
  Yet contemporary novels I am not inclined to put to scorn
  Enjoying many books that had been written after I was born
  Non-fiction I have broadly read in his'try and philosophy
  I can point to content that will sate one's curiosity
  All this general knowledge, see, I have pursued devotedly
  With every expectation that it would be used pro-socially

  I have an online major - writing both for film and for TV
  But found the education to be less than satisfactory
  This self-directed learning's been the centerpiece of my life plan
  I'd like to assist others do the same in any way I can
  At previous employment I have always been most satisfied
  When guests ask for assistance and they leave my presence gratified
  This sense of job fulfillment is ensured to reach its apogee
  If only it could be enacted in a local library.
